11. All pulling vehicles must have an automatic ignition kill switch and/ or air shutoff, in working order at all times. The kill switch must be located in the rear center of the truck (maximum of 6 inches off center in either direction), 4 inches above point of hook.
On a spark ignition system, the kill switch must break or ground engine circuit. On vehicles equipped with spark ignition and electric fuel pumps, the kill switch must also break current to fuel pumps. The break-a-way kill switch will have attached to it a minimum of a 2- inch diameter ring. The cable from the sled will attach to this ring.
Battery Cut-Off Switch
All pulling vehicles must have a battery cut-off switch readily accessible and plainly marked as to location. Switch must be in the ground circuit.
12. All ignition engines must have a kill switch in working order with easy reach of driver. All fuel-injected engines must have fuel shutoff valve control within easy reach of driver.
13. All pulling vehicles will be equipped with a starter interrupt switch on the gear shift which will allow starter engagement only in a neutral gear shift position.
14. All drivers in all divisions must rear a helmet, fire suit safety restraints, head-sock, gloves and shoes, and have an operating fire extinguisher within reach of driver.
15. All drivers must wear safety neck collars.
16. Any ballast lost while under green flag will be cause for disqualification. If weights touch ground (although they may be still attached to the pulling vehicle), pull will be disqualified.
17. Trucks with clutches must be equipped with current approved clutch housing, flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disc. All automatic transmissions must be covered with a currently approved scatter blanket.
18. Trucks are limited to a single automotive-type engine.
19. No counter balance permitted in the drive train.
20. Vehicles must have safety glass or Plexiglas in windshield and rear window. Factory tint is permitted. Stained or smoked glass is not allowed. Tinted windows that impair the track officials view of the drivers compartment are not allowed.
21. All vehicles must have at least one working door on drivers side and/ or an escape hatch.
22. All cab-less or fiberglass vehicles must have rollover protective structure.
23. Hitch point must be visible and clear for sled hook up.
24. Trucks may compete without tailgate or rear doors for safer hook point visibility.
25. No batteries or fuel tanks in cab of truck.
26. Fuel tanks must be located in back bed; unless otherwise stated.
27. Type of engine must be displayed and visible to spectators if different from manufacturer.
28. All vehicles will have a white back up light visible to hook man. The back up light must be on when in reverse and off when in neutral.
29. All drive axles with external axle bolts must be shielded with a steel center cap or shield that bolts or fits the center of the rim or hub and cant be mounted to the axle bolt.
30. All 2wd trucks are required to have wheelie bars and axle covers. The bars cant be any closer than two inches to rear tires and six inches from the dirt behind wheel and ten inches if under the frame rail. they must have 4" x 5" pad on the bottom (no wheels).
31. All trucks in all classes using a standard manual transmission in cab must have a minimum of 5/16" diameter safety chain to be hooked to transmission and frame to keep transmission from rotating.
32. Brakes are mandatory on vehicles that compete in the following classes: 2wd modified, 2wd super modified,. Rear brakes are mandatory on super farm tractors.
33. Front-brakes are mandatory on vehicles that compete in the following classes: All 4wd trucks, 2wd small block class, pro stock 2wd.

Test Pull and Options
1. Number one puller will be test puller and may take pull if weight transfer is deemed right, or he may immediately take his 2nd pull, or he may pull in last position. Sled must be readjusted if test puller fails to reach 85 feet.
2. Only the test puller and only on his first attempt will he/she not be disqualified or measured for running out of bounds. All other reasons for disqualification apply. On all subsequent attempts the "running out of bounds" disqualification rule will apply.
3. If a contestant experiences mechanical difficulty during a test pull (before 1st official pull), he will have the option of dropping to last position.
4. If weight transfer needs further adjustment, the 1st puller after each adjustment will be treated as the number one(test puller).
5. All decisions on re-pulls are to be made before vehicle leaves the track, previous to any other pull.
6. Any disqualification on the 1st attempt bars a 2nd attempt, unless class is restarted.
7. Contestant must pull at position drawn within three minutes of time sled is at readiness; any delay will result in disqualification. If track judge is notified before proceeding contestant makes his pull; hey may drop a contestant having mechanical problems to last position, This may be done only once per contestant per class.
8. If the last vehicle in a class has mechanical problems, it will be allowed six minutes to hook and make an attempt.
9. Puller will be able to drop to last place if mechanical problems occur on 1st attempt if not past 85 feet.
10. All pulls must start with a tight chain; no jerking permitted. Contestant will be allowed a total of two attempts and 85 feet to start the sled.
11. In a pull-off, each contestant in his truck will be allowed one attempt to make a measurable pull. In a pull-off pullers must pull in the same position as first pull. You cannot drop in a pull-off. All pull offs will have a floating finish line.
12. In a pulloff situation each competitor will be allowed the same amount of time to get to the sled and make an attempt. This amount of time is Three minutes from time track is ready( last vehicle, six minute rule does not apply to pull-off situation).
13. Each contestant has the privilege of, and the responsibility of, spotting the sled for both attempts. Sled operators should be notified of where the contestant wished to place the sled when previous contestant unhooks from the sled.
14. An attempt is defined as moving the sled a measurable distance (one inch or greater).
15. All pulls made during a contest will be measured. All pulls will be measured to nearest inch from the nearest marker behind where the sled stops unless track chooses to measure by laser.
16. Pulling vehicle must remain within boundaries of contest course during the pull or will be disqualified. Boundaries are defined as white lines. YOU CANNOT TOUCH WHITE LINES. Sled pan must be within boundary lines at start of pull. If rear wheels of vehicle are passed 310 feet, the vehicle is not out of bounds even if outside of white lines. Also see rule #12 in general rules.
17. Excessive loss of liquid by a pulling vehicle in forward motion during contest on the track will be cause for disqualification, unless due to internal breakage. (Excessive is defined as any steady or intermittent stream discharge on track or a spot equivalent to more than 8-inch diameter).
18. If vehicle is legal when hooked to sled, and if breakage occurs due to unforeseen circumstances, the pull will be measured with the exception of loss of ballast or safety equipment.
19. If any class is delayed 45 minutes or more, it will be automatically restarted.
20. If sled operator repairs or adjust any weight transfer mechanisms of sled, class will be restarted. This does not include regular checking of equipment.
